2444 Eglinton Drive – Kennedy Green

Kennedy Green is transforming a former parking lot near Kennedy Station into a new mixed-income community with 919 homes of which 612 are rent geared to income. Approximately two-thirds of the homes will be delivered through the co-operative housing model, expanding affordable housing options in Scarborough.

1845 Birchmount Road

Construction is underway on a new industrial and office development that will deliver approximately 270,000 square feet of modern employment space. The project will support business growth, logistics and job creation in Scarborough Centre.

1925 Victoria Park Avenue

A new mixed-use rental community is proposed with a 12-storey building, 185 purpose-built rental homes, ground-floor retail and a central courtyard. The project will add new housing and commercial activity to the area.

1680 Brimley Road – Town Centre Place

Town Centre Place is a major mixed-use development planned for the southwest corner of Brimley Road and Progress Avenue. The project is expected to include new homes, retail, community amenities and public art near Scarborough Town Centre.

25 Borough Drive

This major transit-oriented development will deliver approximately 1,285 purpose-built rental homes across three residential towers. A mix of unit sizes will provide more housing choices for individuals and families in Scarborough Centre.

158 Borough Drive

Plans are advancing for a major transit-oriented rental community with approximately 687 new rental homes, including 229 affordable homes. The project will also add community amenities and improved public spaces near the future Scarborough Centre Subway Station.

Transit, Roads & Safety

Brimley Road Resurfacing

Major road and sewer upgrades are scheduled for Brimley Road, including sanitary sewer work and road resurfacing between Lawrence Avenue East and Eglinton Avenue East. Construction is planned through 2026 and 2027, improving road conditions and renewing essential infrastructure.

Victoria Park Avenue Service Change

The northbound TTC stop at Victoria Park Avenue and Janet Boulevard was consolidated with nearby stops to improve safety around the protected pedestrian crossing. The next closest stop is at Lawrence Avenue East, approximately 100 metres north.

Speed Humps in Scarborough Centre

New speed humps have been approved for Broadbent Avenue, Guild Hall Drive and Joy Drive. These traffic-calming measures are intended to reduce vehicle speeds and improve neighbourhood road safety.

Kennedy Station Public Realm Master Plan

The Kennedy Station Public Realm Master Plan will guide improvements around one of Scarborough’s key transit hubs. Priorities include safer walkways, better lighting, landscaping, public spaces and stronger connections between transit and the surrounding community.

Future Lawrence and McCowan Station

Construction is progressing on the future Lawrence and McCowan Station. Work includes the temporary realignment of McCowan Road, excavation and other major construction activities needed to deliver the new Scarborough Subway Extension station.

Parks & Public Spaces

Glamorgan Park

Glamorgan Park is being enhanced with a new accessible pathway loop connecting the playground, splash pad and basketball courts to Antrim Crescent. Proposed additions include seating, picnic tables, a shade shelter and a one-directional cricket pitch. Completion is expected by December 2026.

Birkdale Ravine and Thomson Memorial Park Bridges

Temporary detours are in place around bridge closures at Birkdale Ravine and Thomson Memorial Park. Bridge replacement work is progressing, with signage directing park users safely around affected areas.

Jack Goodlad Park Improvements

Jack Goodlad Park is being upgraded with a new splash pad, a redeveloped playground, new and refurbished basketball courts, relocated bocce courts, improved lighting, accessible pathways and additional seating. Construction is expected to be completed by winter 2026.

Thomson Memorial Park Skate Trail

A new outdoor skating trail is planned for Thomson Memorial Park, featuring integrated seating and lighting. The project will add a new year-round community destination and expand recreational opportunities in the park.

Frank Faubert Park Commemorative Plaque

A commemorative plaque honouring Frank Faubert is planned for Frank Faubert Park at 185 Borough Drive. The tribute will recognize his legacy and contributions to Scarborough.

Terraview Park

The redesigned playground and splash pad at Terraview Park are now open. The upgraded park features new playground equipment, a modern splash pad and improved community spaces for families to enjoy year-round.
